How do I keep deer out of my bird feeders and flowers using tobacco?

Judie asked:

I have a very small front yard. I plant flowers each spring & keep bird feeders up all year. The deer come into my yard & eat my flower buds & any bird seed. They tip up the feeders to let the seed fall out. I have heard that using tobacco can stop them from coming in my yard. How do I do this? Will this harm my flowers or keep birds away from the feeders? Thank you, Judie

My friend added the chamomile flowers into water boiler and then started the boiler. Later on, the tea was ready.
Do you think it is a good idea or is it an improper use of the boiler?

yes, i mean electrical kettle. Why not a good idea?

We are getting married in October in Southern Indiana. I would like to grow flowers or herbs for each individual guest. Any ideas on what would be easy to grow and blooming at that time of year? (our colors are claret, champagne, and chocolate brown)
