Deane asked:

I need to make little bases for holding flower and balloon arrangements outside as decorations for tables. I need something fairly heavy so they don’t fall over. Can I use cement or concrete of some kind and which does the best job. I would like to fill little flower pots with the “cement” and then put small arrangements of balloons and flowers inside. These will be used for several occasions. What are your suggestions?

What happens if the recipient is not home when flowers are being delivered to her home?

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my girlfriend at her house today. She has been sick and down in the dumps. Well today she ended up feeling worse, so she went to the Emergency Room to get checked out, and I’m guessing nobody will be home for the rest of the evening (at least until after the floral shop closes).

Will they attempt delivery tomorrow? How does it work.

Nick C asked:

I have started gardening but have noticed at night on my galladrias (sp) that the bees are “sleeping” there at night. Even more strange, when it rains, they have been hanging on the underside of the flowers. I always thought bees go back to their hives…yet these don’t seem to.

Wondering if I have odd bees or just really good flowers.

I put flowers next to each other that made crossbred flowers, but they didn’t make crossbred flowers. I left them there for over a week but they still didn’t crossbreed. Am I doing something wrong or something? If anyone knows could they please list all the steps to crossreeding flowers? Thank you.

Do we have to make arrangements to take it all home? Or are they typically thrown away? We’re having floating flowers in water, so I don’t think I’ll find a use for wet flowers afterwards?

How do I stop cats and dogs from ****** on my flowers and garden?

NMC asked:

Besides the obvious of keeping them away, I can’t keep the stray animals away from it at night. We’ve spent a lot of money getting our yard the way it is and it’s all being ruined by the animals. The flowers are dying. Is there anything we can put in the garden that will make dogs and cats not want to *** there?
